The role

Reporting jointly to the directors responsible for the NEXUS and CCIAM (Collaborative Centre for Aerospace and Mobility) projects, the Project Controller will be responsible for project controls, budget monitoring, schedule tracking, document management, risk monitoring, and the preparation of accountability and reporting requirements for both initiatives.

The Project Controller will play a cross-functional role in ensuring alignment between contractual commitments, budgets, schedules, deliverables, performance indicators, and the reporting requirements specific to each project.

The role will also support the project directors in implementing tools, processes, and dashboards to ensure rigorous, predictable, and well-documented management of project activities.

The right fit

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, accounting, finance, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project controls, project management, a project management office (PMO), or project financial management.
  • Experience delivering construction projects.
  • Experience with projects funded through public, parapublic, or institutional programs is a strong asset.
  • Experience with accountability and compliance reporting, budget monitoring, document management, and report preparation.
  • Experience working in a multi-partner or collaborative environment is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent command of Excel and Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6 is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Zoho One or a CRM/project management system is an asset.
  • Ability to develop and structure dashboards, registers, tracking tools, and concise management reports.
  • Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, performance indicators, and accountability and reporting requirements.
