The company

Le Monastère des Augustines is a non-profit organization and social economy enterprise located in the heart of Old Québec. Housed in the former monastery-hospital of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, since 2015 it has carried forward the Augustinian Sisters’ legacy of hospitality and care through a unique offering that combines accommodations, heritage, culture, wellness, and restorative experiences.

Le Monastère also fulfills an important social mission, notably by providing respite and restorative experiences to people who care for others. Revenue generated through its activities is reinvested in its mission, making the organization a unique player at the intersection of heritage, tourism, holistic health, and the social economy.

The successful candidate will lead the strategic and operational vision of an organization dedicated to social, cultural, and tourism initiatives. The individual will also be responsible for furthering the development and visibility of the Monastère, particularly through social innovation, regenerative tourism, client development, and strategic partnerships. They will play a key role in fostering complementarity between Le Monastère and the Augustine Cultural Heritage Trust, while serving as the organization’s principal ambassador to its various stakeholders.
