The role

Reporting to the Lead, Digital Communications and Development, the Marketing and Communications Advisor coordinates, writes, and distributes public announcements, including researcher profiles, impact stories related to research programs, donor profiles, and brain health awareness content across all digital platforms (website, emails, social media, and newsletters).

The successful candidate also supports the development of proposals, reports, and philanthropic development materials intended for donors. With strong organizational skills and a high level of autonomy, this individual acts as a liaison between teams, ensuring that each announcement, piece of content, or opportunity is strategically integrated and executed with rigor.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience managing and optimizing digital advertising campaigns;
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously;
  • Experience creating impactful visuals using creative tools (Canva knowledge is a strong asset);
  • Experience synthesizing complex information and transforming it into impactful content in both French and English for a pan-Canadian audience;
  • Experience tracking campaigns, analyzing data, and measuring results;
  • Comfortable filming and recording content using a smartphone (asset);
  • Video editing experience (asset);
  • Strong interest in brain health and medical research (asset).
