The role
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Finance is responsible for the overall financial health of the organization. This individual oversees all accounting and financial operations while providing the executive team with the insights and information needed to make informed, timely business decisions.
The right fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field;
- CPA designation;
- Significant experience in financial management, including a minimum of five years in a leadership role within a growing organization;
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting, including monthly financial statements, tax filings, dashboards, and other key performance reports;
- Experience leading financial planning and budgeting for an organization with annual revenues of $20 million or more;
- Proven experience managing accounting and finance operations teams;
- Experience improving accounting processes and strengthening internal controls;
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions;
- Experience managing relationships with financial partners and negotiating financing agreements, including loans, grants, and other funding arrangements;
- Experience with government funding programs (such as CDAE, R&D tax credits, and Emploi-Québec), considered an asset;
- Experience within a professional services firm and/or the information technology sector, considered an asset;
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, considered an asset.
