The role

Reporting to the Director of Continuing Education, the Strategic Partnerships Manager plays a key role in expanding the market for university-level engineering training programs. The successful candidate will develop and implement business development strategies to grow the continuing education offering while building and maintaining long-term partnerships with key industry stakeholders.

Working closely with academic teams, internal departments (research, communications, recruitment), and external partners, the Strategic Partnerships Manager ensures that initiatives align with Polytechnique Montréal’s strategic objectives. The role also includes active business development, partnership negotiations, representing the institution at industry events, and monitoring client satisfaction.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Relations, Engineering, or a related field).
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in account management, business development, or strategic development.
  • Significant experience in account management, business development, and/or commercial development.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, partnership management, and sales cycle management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with non-French-speaking members of the community.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar.
  • Knowledge of the engineering sector, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, or innovation is considered a strong asset.
