The company

K’(Prime) Technologies Inc., or K’(Prime), is a global imaging services company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nanalysis Scientific Corp. (TSXV: NSCI, OTCQX: NSCIF, FRA: 1N1).

K’(Prime) provides services in chemistry, commercial security, scientific instrument sales, and airport imaging, including X-ray and millimetre-wave imaging systems. The company delivers maintenance services for airport imaging equipment at airports across every Canadian province and territory.

The role

K’(Prime) is seeking practical and mechanically inclined candidates for the position of Imaging Service Technician. Initially, successful candidates will work at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport and will later be based at Montréal Metropolitan Airport in Saint-Hubert.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, whether personal or professional, repairing electronic devices (e.g., computers, toys, household appliances) and mechanical equipment (e.g., machinery, vehicles, industrial equipment). Following comprehensive training provided by K’(Prime), the successful candidate will apply these skills to maintain and repair airport security imaging equipment at the airports served by the company.

The right fit
  • Has hands-on experience maintaining or repairing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Is available to travel elsewhere in Canada (e.g., Calgary, Mississauga, Ottawa) for professional training ranging from a few days to several weeks, particularly at the beginning of employment.
  • Lives within reasonable proximity to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, allowing arrival on site within one hour in the event of an emergency (including the 15- to 20-minute security access process).
  • Is available 24 hours a day for emergency call-outs and may be required to respond any day of the week.
  • Is available to work rotating and irregular shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Holds a valid driver’s licence and is able to transport equipment between work sites.
  • Is eligible to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) following the required security clearance.
  • Is willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice, to remote airports in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada (by air or, occasionally, by car for long-distance trips of up to 12 hours).
  • Is comfortable working independently or as part of a team, during both daytime and overnight hours.
  • Has an adventurous spirit and is adaptable to frequent short-term assignments in remote or northern regions of Canada.
  • Holds a High School Diploma (HSD) or a College Diploma (DEC or equivalent).
