The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is an independent, non-partisan charitable organization established in 2001 to honour the former Prime Minister.

The mission of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is to support the development of exceptional doctoral students, researchers, and public intellectuals at the forefront of their fields. Our goal is to position Scholars, Fellows, and Mentors to make a meaningful impact in their communities, institutions, and beyond.

The role

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the incumbent will be responsible for the selection processes for the Foundation’s three programs: Scholarship, Fellowship, and Mentorship. The Selection Process Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all activities related to these processes, ensuring that they are efficient, fair, and compliant with the Foundation’s policies. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Foundation’s alumni community.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in humanities, social sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience;
  • Master’s degree is considered an asset;
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: program management, universities, NGOs, government, civil society, or other public organizations or institutions;
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, is essential;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in both French and English;
  • Strong public-speaking skills and experience presenting to large groups;
  • Knowledge of Canada’s academic and research environment, particularly in the social sciences and humanities, is considered an asset.
