The Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal (JCCM) is dedicated to developing, representing, and promoting the next generation of business leaders. Constantly evolving, it is a collective that brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who wish to collaborate, take action, and reflect together toward a common goal.

Founded in 1931, the organization now counts more than 2,600 members between the ages of 18 and 40, including 150 volunteers, making it the largest junior chamber in the world. Through the many events it organizes each year, the JCCM has become a key hub for the development of Montreal’s next generation of business leaders.

The role

Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the administration and overall management of the JCCM. This includes operations and resource management, strategic development, partnership sales and development, membership growth and retention, as well as communications and external representation.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, public relations, or another relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and team management, ideally within a small organization requiring both strategic and hands-on leadership;
  • Experience in governance and ability to work closely with a board of directors, including preparing follow-ups, recommendations, and decision-making documents;
  • Strong budget management experience, including budget planning and monitoring, expense control, and accountability reporting;
  • Team management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in revenue development, including private and public partnerships, sponsorships, grants, or business development;
  • Experience in public relations (public speaking, media relations, government relations);
  • Demonstrated experience and active network among public decision-makers and the business community, combined with a strong understanding of Montreal’s economic ecosystem and the ability to build, maintain, and activate high-impact strategic relationships;
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and its operational realities.
