The company

The organization supports initiatives aimed at improving cancer prevention, care, research, and patient support. Working in collaboration with a wide range of partners, it contributes to the development of projects that have a meaningful impact on patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

The role

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director, Operations and Strategic Partnerships will serve as the Executive Director’s strategic and operational partner. Working closely with their team, the successful candidate will oversee organizational planning and financial performance, lead the development of corporate partnerships and major gifts, ensure alignment of priorities across teams, and support the Executive Director in implementing the organization’s strategic plan.

This individual will play a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s operational excellence, long term sustainability, and continued growth.

The right fit
  • Relevant university degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Philanthropy, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in philanthropy
  • Minimum of eight years of experience leading and managing teams
  • Significant experience in financial, operational, or administrative management
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategic partnerships and diversifying revenue streams, including corporate giving, direct marketing, and digital fundraising campaigns
  • Experience with individual and planned giving, considered a strong asset
  • Experience in event based fundraising, considered an asset
  • Formal training in philanthropic development, considered an asset
