The role

Reporting to the President and Producer, the Director of Fiction Development will be responsible for leading the development of the company’s fiction projects, identifying and attracting talent (writers, creators, screenwriters), and orchestrating the go-to-market strategy for projects with broadcasters and partners.

This person will also oversee, guide, and mobilize the development and coordination team to ensure structured project progression, adherence to timelines, and the continuous elevation of creative quality.

The right fit
  • Relevant university degree (film, television, screenwriting, communications, literature, administration) or equivalent experience

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in fiction content development (television or platforms), within a broadcaster, production company, or studio

  • Proven experience pitching, presenting, and marketing projects to broadcasting partners, with projects leading to development or production agreements

  • Experience negotiating development agreements

  • Ability to evaluate fiction projects and provide structured feedback (structure, tone, narrative arcs, characters)

  • Experience in creative collaboration (rewriting, working with screenwriters)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including structuring phases, timelines, and deliverables tracking

  • Experience coordinating and leading teams with a collaborative and structured approach

  • Strong knowledge of the industry ecosystem (broadcasters, platforms, creators, partners) and ability to package and position projects effectively
