The organization

Interligne is a charitable organization providing support and information by and for people affected by sexual and gender diversity. Through its 24/7 service, the organization offers support to LGBTQ+ individuals, their loved ones, as well as professionals working in community organizations, schools, healthcare, and social services. Through its awareness initiatives, Interligne also fosters greater openness and understanding in society toward the realities of LGBTQ+ people.

The role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, Interligne’s Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership to support the organization in fulfilling its mission and continuing its development. This individual ensures the sound management of human, financial, and material resources while overseeing the quality and ongoing evolution of the services offered.

As an engaging and inspiring leader, the Executive Director contributes to increasing Interligne’s visibility, develops strategic partnerships, and guides the organization in achieving its objectives. As Interligne’s primary spokesperson, this individual represents the organization with its various stakeholders and leads the executive team with a strong commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.

The right fit
  • Relevant university degree in management, administration, social sciences, or a related field;
  • Executive or senior management experience within a non-profit organization, community organization, or comparable environment;
  • Experience leading and engaging teams, including performance management, talent development, and change management;
  • Experience in strategic planning and organizational management, including the successful execution of priorities and organizational objectives;
  • Experience in organizational development and revenue diversification, including grants, philanthropy, donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and other sources of funding;
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and resource optimization;
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors and a strong understanding of the respective roles of governance and executive leadership;
  • Experience representing an organization externally with partners, funders, governments, media, industry or sector associations, and other strategic stakeholders;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the realities, issues, and dynamics related to sexual diversity, gender diversity, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
