The role

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will bring forward an integrated vision for Télé-Québec’s technological evolution and ensure its concrete execution through the development and deployment of the organization’s digital and technology strategic plan.

In this capacity, the individual will oversee all key technology functions across the organization, including architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, the artificial intelligence centre of expertise, data and information governance, as well as technical activities related to content broadcasting, distribution, and postproduction.

The Vice President establishes and implements technology and digital priorities that enable Télé-Québec to operate with a high level of quality, performance, and resilience, while anticipating the rapid evolution of technologies and user behaviors. The individual ensures alignment between technology decisions, digital platforms, and the audience experience.

With a proactive mindset, the successful candidate identifies and leverages opportunities created by digital and emerging technologies in support of the organization’s strategic objectives. The individual plays a critical role in the evolution of Télé-Québec’s business model by supporting changing consumption habits, strengthening content discoverability, and developing digital experiences aligned with the expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s audiences.

The right fit
  • University degree in information technology, computer science, management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 15+ years of experience managing technology infrastructure, technical operations, or broadcast technologies within complex environments;
  • Proven experience leading large multidisciplinary teams across technology, digital, data, and artificial intelligence functions;
  • Demonstrated achievements in large-scale transformation initiatives, including infrastructure modernization, development of structured strategic visions, change management, and implementation of new practices;
  • Expertise in the design, deployment, and integration of robust technology solutions, including virtualization, cloud computing, automation, advanced telemetry, and intelligent architectures;
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, management of significant budgets, financial model optimization, investment planning, and management of vendor and partner relationships;
  • Proven experience working in unionized environments and ability to navigate complex organizational structures;
  • Relevant certifications (Agile, Lean, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture), considered assets;
  • Experience within the media industry, considered an asset.
