The company

Build Canada Homes (BCH) is a federal Crown corporation created by the current government in September 2025 to address the housing shortage and respond to the scale and urgency of Canada’s housing challenge. It brings together the necessary resources — land, essential investments, and innovation — to build more affordable housing, faster, in the communities where Canadians need it most.

Its mission is to increase the housing supply by leveraging public lands, flexible financing solutions, and real estate development expertise to deliver more affordable, non-market, and private-market housing where the need is greatest.

The role

The Director, Public Affairs and Corporate Relations plays a central role in advancing Build Canada Homes’ visibility, influence, and strategic positioning with federal decision-makers, parliamentarians, and stakeholders across Canada’s housing ecosystem.

Responsible for institutional relations and organizational reputation, the Director leads relationships with the federal government, Parliament, and key stakeholders in the housing sector, while overseeing the organization’s accountability requirements and parliamentary affairs.

Through leadership of both external and internal engagement strategies, the Director helps advance Build Canada Homes’ mandate, strengthen its influence, and engage employees and partners around its strategic priorities.
