Corem works closely with its members, clients, and partners to enhance industry competitiveness while reducing environmental impact through innovative solutions.

This mineral processing research centre combines a pilot plant, laboratories, and state-of-the-art equipment. It is a dynamic organization with nearly 140 employees and over 20 years of innovation.

The role

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Human Resources and Organizational Development plays a strategic role within Corem.

This individual is responsible for fostering a mobilizing organizational culture, developing talent and leadership, and supporting team performance and engagement. The role also involves leading HR strategies and overseeing the Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in organizational development, along with solid experience in labour relations and human resources management.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, human resources, labour relations, organizational psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in organizational development, including human resources management
  • Significant experience in a unionized environment, with strong knowledge of Quebec labour laws and union practices
  • Experience managing or supervising HR teams or multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience implementing and leading strategic HR practices, including organizational transformation initiatives
  • Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
  • CRHA/CRIA designation and/or an MBA: strong assets
  • Expertise in organizational development and change management, including in technical or scientific environments: a significant asset
