Orbinox’s North American division (primarily in Canada and the United States) is experiencing strong growth. It is financially solid, highly profitable, and operates within a structured, multi-site, international industrial environment.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Orbinox North America, the Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial activities for Orbinox’s Canadian and U.S. operations. This individual ensures rigorous financial management in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, while actively supporting day-to-day operational execution.

A highly hands-on and operational leader, the role combines strong expertise in financial management, accounting principles, and cross-border tax regulations with a pragmatic, results-driven, and continuous improvement mindset. Curious and detail-oriented, the incumbent continuously evaluates processes, data, and controls to identify opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.

Balancing strategic vision with tactical execution, the Director of Finance acts as a key business partner to operational leaders, strengthening financial governance, implementing scalable practices, and supporting informed decision-making to drive sustainable growth.

The right fit
  • CPA designation required

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and tax regulations in both Canada and the United States

  • Excellent analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret and simplify complex financial data

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization

  • Proven experience in compliance management and regulatory requirements

  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector, ideally in the valve industry or a related field (an asset)
