The role

Reporting to the Senior Director of RDI, the Director of Programming and Scheduling – ICI RDI oversees both the editorial programming team and the scheduling team, and serves as a key editorial reference for all newsroom editors-in-chief.

This individual also contributes to the development of new program formats and to the evolution of content distribution strategies, playing an active role in the ongoing transformation of the 24-hour news channel.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, or an equivalent field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in journalism

  • Experience in television programming

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of people management experience

  • Experience managing sensitive and controversial content

  • Experience in change management

  • Knowledge of digital video distribution platforms

  • Strong understanding of media development trends

  • Solid command of journalistic standards and practices

  • Experience in a digital environment (an asset)
