The role

Reporting to the President and CEO, the incumbent is responsible for all activities related to information technology. Key responsibilities include IT governance, project portfolio management, implementation of strategic initiatives, and oversight of IT operations.

The role also involves leading and monitoring the organization’s digital transformation plan, while serving as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on matters related to information technology.

In addition, the individual coordinates the work of the committee dedicated to IT and innovation, and oversees reporting related to information technology and cybersecurity.

The right fit
  • University degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role;
  • At least 5 years of experience managing personnel (experience in a unionized environment is an asset);
  • Proven ability to define and manage operational budgets for the department;
  • Track record of implementing IT systems (directly or in collaboration with partners);
  • Experience ensuring the availability and stability of IT environments and managing infrastructure;
  • Ability to oversee reliable and innovative configuration upgrades;
  • Experience developing and maintaining performance indicators to support decision-making in IT and AV technology management;
  • Experience managing, operationalizing, and modernizing a digital transformation plan, including government reporting;
  • Experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the events, tourism, and hospitality sectors (an asset);
  • Familiarity with standards, regulations, and laws governing information security (e.g., COBIT 5, ITIL, business case studies, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) (an asset);
  • Recognized training or professional experience in project management (PMI-PMP).
