The role

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Head of Human Resources, Talent, and Organizational Development plays a key role by:

  • Collaborating closely with senior leadership, department heads, employees, and union partners to foster a harmonious work environment;
  • Defining strategic directions to strengthen HR’s ability to build a skilled, engaged workforce aligned with the Museum’s strategic goals and public impact;
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all activities related to the implementation of human resources policies and programs.
The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Business Administration (HR focus), or a related field;
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within an SME or similar setting;
  • Proven advisory expertise and application of best HR practices in change management, employee engagement, recognition, and organizational development;
  • Experience in labor relations, with a sound understanding of legislation, standards, and procedures governing the implementation of collective agreements;
  • Solid background in managing compensation programs, employee benefits, and pay equity;
  • Demonstrated achievements in enhancing the employee experience;
  • Experience in human resources management within a unionized environment;
  • CRIA or CHRP designation preferred.
