The role

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Radio-Canada, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction and objectives of the Audio & Radio sector.

You will play a key role in shaping the programming strategy, ensuring that content meets audience expectations while aligning with Radio-Canada’s mandate, positioning, credibility, and brand image. Your leadership will be essential in showcasing Canadian culture and representing the diverse realities of today’s Canada.

The right fit
  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, business administration);
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a strategic leadership role;
  • Significant experience in content development, project management, and negotiation;
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams (administrative, operational, production, directing) in a unionized environment;
  • Strong strategic planning, implementation, and performance monitoring skills;
  • Solid understanding of financial and budget management;
  • Experience in collective agreement management and/or working with unionized resources;
  • Exceptional influencing, innovation, and creative thinking abilities;
  • In-depth knowledge of the broadcast industry, media consumption trends, technology, and competitive landscape;
  • Familiarity with media governance, regulatory frameworks, and rights management.
