The company

The selective collection system in Quebec is undergoing a major transformation, and Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) is at the heart of this significant societal and environmental shift. A private non profit organization, ÉEQ has represented producers of containers, packaging and printed materials since 2005, assuming their financial responsibility for selective collection. Appointed as the designated management organization in 2022, ÉEQ acts as the system steward and authority responsible for managing selective collection across Quebec, within a sustainable development framework.

Modernizing a system to meet 21st century challenges requires extensive collaboration, both internally and with a wide range of stakeholders. ÉEQ develops, manages and advises circular economy solutions for its producer members, with the goal of reducing their environmental footprint. To achieve this, ÉEQ places eco design, recyclability and traceability at the core of its actions in partnership with stakeholders.

Purpose:

“From selective collection to the circular economy: Together for a sustainable world.”
