The company

Alesco Group is a well-established Québec player in specialized financing, bringing together three complementary divisions: Finova, Alterfina, and Track. With a team of approximately 125 employees, the organization combines the strength of a structured SME with the agility of an entrepreneurial company. Its reputation is built on strong financial health, engaged governance, and a vision focused on sustainable growth.

The Alterfina division offers financial solutions with the ambition of being a true alternative in personal finance, empowering clients to adopt healthy financial habits.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Operations oversees all operations (customer service, credit, quality assurance and training, collections) and ensures performance, compliance, and efficiency. The role establishes rigorous governance (KPIs, SLAs, dashboards), manages interdependencies between teams, and stabilizes processes in a hypergrowth context.

The Director leads continuous improvement, digital transformation, and automation initiatives, while acting as the operational gatekeeper for growth initiatives. Finally, the role focuses on developing supervisors, strengthening management discipline, and mobilizing teams in an evolving regulatory environment.

The right fit
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in multi-team operations management, including the supervision of managers;

  • Strong experience in regulated, high-volume environments (financial services, credit, fintech, insurance, or telecom), with stringent quality and compliance requirements;

  • Proven leader capable of managing complex operations with clear standards, structured governance, and strong accountability;

  • Strong command of performance indicators and monitoring tools (KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, escalation mechanisms);

  • Hands-on experience in continuous improvement, delivering measurable gains in productivity and quality;

  • Ability to make key operational decisions (resource allocation, backlog management, risk assessment, authorization decisions);

  • Ability to address cross-functional challenges (IT, compliance, resources, budget) and deliver tangible results;

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex environments into clear processes and routines;

  • Assets: experience in regulated, high-volume operations, Lean / Six Sigma training, and change management with strong post-implementation stabilization.
