Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) is the national policy, advocacy, and promotion organization representing Canadian dairy producers. DFC works to create stable conditions for the dairy sector across the country. It also aims to maintain policies that support the sustainability of Canadian dairy production while promoting dairy products and their health benefits.

The role

Reporting to the Manager, People and Culture, or any other person designated by Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC), the Coordinator, People and Culture is responsible for coordinating and providing administrative support for the delivery of key human resources programs, policies, and processes.

This individual is motivated, highly organized, and demonstrates strong communication skills. They are able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They ensure the efficient functioning of the department and adherence to timelines, including, but not limited to, internal communications and compliance with applicable legislation across all jurisdictions relevant to the organization.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role, ideally with exposure to a variety of HR functions;
  • Experience with physical and digital information management tools, including but not limited to filing systems and related software;
  • Working knowledge and solid understanding of provincial and federal employment legislation across applicable jurisdictions;
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization operating within a federated model (an asset);
  • Knowledge of ADP (an asset);
  • Canadian HR designation (completed or in progress) (an asset).
