The company

Espace Stratégies is a strategy consulting firm based in Montréal, with nearly 20 years of experience. The firm supports organizations and territories in defining their vision, structuring their development, and implementing sustainable strategies.

Its main areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational diagnostics, territorial and economic development, as well as stakeholder engagement through workshops and participatory processes.

The firm works with municipalities, non-profit organizations, economic development agencies, public institutions, and innovative companies.

The organization currently has nine employees and operates within a collaborative structure that encourages autonomy, accountability, and teamwork. It is led by three partners, including Nancy Guay, President and expert in municipal economic development.

The role

The selected candidate will act as a consultant in territorial and municipal development and will report directly to the President. They will contribute to the delivery and management of strategic mandates, particularly in municipal planning, economic development, and stakeholder engagement.

The right fit
  • Master’s degree required (or equivalent professional experience);
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with municipalities, in urban planning, land-use planning, or economic development;
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management and, ideally, consulting experience;
  • Strong writing, analytical, and synthesis skills with both qualitative and quantitative data;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and oversee budget tracking;
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead workshops and consultations with diverse groups (employees, elected officials, citizens, partners);
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and strong proficiency with office and project management tools are considered assets.
