The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, leading, and controlling all laboratory-related activities to achieve short- and medium-term service and efficiency objectives. The role includes analyzing operational issues through a continuous improvement approach, conducting studies, establishing medium- and long-term production forecasts, and developing performance indicators to optimize service levels, including turnaround times, operational efficiency, and production costs.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, maintenance engineering, or another relevant field; a management degree (MBA) is a strong asset
More than 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role of similar scope (approximately 150 employees) within a precision manufacturing environment recognized for operational excellence
Proven track record in implementing a Lean Management culture focused on operational efficiency and customer value creation, with measurable results
Demonstrated success in implementing new technologies (software and equipment)
Solid theoretical understanding of production processes and supply chain logic
Strong command of financial management for a production chain and KPIs, including budgets of up to CAD 50 million per year
Experience leading high-performing teams of up to 150 employees, including managers
Strategic management experience of a high-performance distribution or production center is a strong asset
