K’(Prime) provides services in chemistry, commercial security, scientific instrument sales, and airport imaging services, including X-ray and millimeter-wave imaging. The company delivers maintenance services for airport imaging equipment across airports in all Canadian provinces and territories.

The role

K’(Prime) is seeking hands-on, practical candidates for the role of Imaging Services Technician. The ideal candidates will have solid amateur or professional experience in repairing electronic (e.g., computers, toys, appliances) and/or mechanical items (e.g., equipment, vehicles, machines). After comprehensive training provided by K’(Prime), successful applicants will apply these skills to maintain and repair airport security imaging equipment at the airports we serve.

The right fit
  • Has practical, hands-on experience repairing or maintaining electronic and/or mechanical systems.

  • Is available to travel within Canada (e.g., Calgary, Mississauga, Ottawa) for professional training lasting from a few days to several weeks, especially at the start of employment.

  • Lives near Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport, enabling arrival on site within one hour in case of emergency (including 15–20 minutes for secure access), 24/7, 365 days a year.

  • Holds a valid driver’s license to transport equipment on-site.

  • Is available for rotating and irregular shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

  • Is eligible to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) after background verification.

  • Is willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time, sometimes on short notice, to remote airports in Québec or elsewhere in Canada (by plane, or occasionally by long-distance driving—up to 12 hours).

  • Can work independently or as part of a team, day or night.

  • Has an adventurous spirit and can adapt to frequent, short-term assignments in northern or remote Canadian regions.

  • Holds a high school diploma or college degree.
