The role
You will be responsible for overseeing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the company’s development while maintaining high standards of quality and rigor. The right fit
- University degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, food sciences, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field
- Strong experience in the natural health products or pharmaceutical sector, including Canadian regulatory compliance (NHP NPN over the counter products)
- Proven experience in production management and product development, including formulation, validation, testing and technical documentation
- In depth knowledge of Health Canada and regulatory requirements applicable to natural health products
- Demonstrated experience managing a manufacturing plant or production site, including planning, coordination and compliance with good manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of the full production lifecycle for natural products, from client submission to purchasing, quality assurance, packaging and delivery of finished goods
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and supervise technical teams or collaborators
- Knowledge of record keeping and documentation requirements, including certificates of analysis, evidence of effectiveness and technical files
- Understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting and resource development
