The MNHQ’s mandate is to showcase and promote the history of the Quebec nation, its evolution, culture, and distinct identity, while also recognizing the contributions of First Nations and Inuit. The museum aspires to play a key role by building strong connections with Quebec’s museum network and ensuring Quebec’s presence on the international museum stage through acquisitions, exhibitions, and various engagement activities.
