The mission of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec is to protect the public by ensuring high-quality dental care, promoting access to oral health services, and raising awareness about the importance of oral health as part of overall health.

The role

Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating all activities related to the Human Resources department. Specifically, they develop and update policies and implement programs and procedures related to human resources planning, staffing, training, job classification, and the administration of compensation and employee benefits.

In addition, the role includes oversight of material resources and the management of front desk staff. As a member of the management team, the incumbent contributes to defining the organization’s objectives, priorities, strategies, and action plans, in alignment with the orientations of the Board of Directors.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Human Resources generalist
  • Proven achievements related to the employee experience (recruitment, onboarding, talent development, retention, etc.)
  • Experience managing compensation programs, employee benefits, and pay equity
  • Strong track record as an influential advisor and coach to managers or executive teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with a Board of Directors
  • Experience coordinating material resources (workspace management, lease administration, tenant improvements, etc.)
  • Holder of a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
  • Proficiency in Nethris payroll software is an asset
  • Knowledge of nonprofit organization (NPO) practices is an asset
