Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations and Partner Relations, the Vice President, Marketing is a member of the executive committee.
This leader will be responsible for defining, leading, and executing all marketing and communication strategies with the goal of increasing brand awareness, driving store traffic, strengthening relationships with merchants, and supporting BMR’s growth in Quebec and across Canada.
The marketing team, made up of about 20 professionals across three departments (Digital Solutions, Promotional Strategy, and Creative Direction), reports directly to this role.
10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand management, positioning, and growth within competitive environments;
Proven success in leading marketing teams — planning, mentoring, talent development, budgeting, and performance tracking;
Experience in executing complex marketing plans, building and deploying integrated strategies with measurable impact;
Expertise in customer acquisition and retention, including the development of multichannel relationship programs;
Strong influential communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to present, persuade, and align stakeholders;
Experience managing the full marketing funnel — from awareness to conversion and retention;
Advanced proficiency with digital marketing channels: SEO/SEM, online advertising, content marketing, social media, automated email campaigns, and e-commerce;
Data-driven mindset: strong analytical skills to measure performance, segment audiences, optimize customer journeys, and guide strategic decisions;
Familiarity with marketing tools and technologies (CRM, automation platforms, analytics dashboards such as Google Analytics or Data Studio);
Experience managing partner and agency relationships — briefing, coordination, RFPs, and performance evaluation;
Retail industry experience considered a strong asset.
