Founded in 1979, ARCQ’s mission is to contribute to the development and reputation of community radio. It currently brings together 37 members throughout Quebec and plays a significant role in broadcasting, local news, culture, and the music industry. With 50 years of presence, community radios are now listened to by nearly a million people every week. Led by over 250 employees and nearly 700 volunteers, they extend beyond their communities and offer numerous opportunities for those who wish to get involved.

Le rôle

Reporting to the board of directors, the General Management serves as the organization’s chief executive officer. They implement the directions set by the board of directors, ensuring rigorous, effective, and efficient management of the Association.

The right fit

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, communication, or any other relevant field, or equivalent studies and experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in management;
  • Knowledge in financial management (budgets, forecasts, accounting, accountability, processes, operations);
  • Experience in fundraising (sponsorships, grants, financial partnerships, fundraising, etc.);
  • Experience in governance (board meetings, follow-ups, dashboards, reports, etc.);
  • Experience in public relations (public speaking, media relations, government relations, briefs);
  • Experience in radio station operations and a good understanding of their functioning is an asset;
  • Experience in a similar position in the media, information, and/or communications sector is an asset.
