La Cantine pour tous is a food security charity that brings together member organizations and collective enterprises wishing to develop their food services to better meet the needs of their clients. In addition to capacity building for member organizations, La Cantine pour tous focuses on coordinating collective efforts: by representing the interests of its members, La Cantine pour tous is the reference network for sustainable food security issues.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager works closely with them to support the management of La Cantine pour tous, at both administrative and operational levels.

The Must-Haves

  • University degree in administration, management, or a related field;
  • Experience in a personnel management role, either in a deputy general management, operations management, or administration and finance management role;
  • Experience in establishing relationships and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, sponsors, and members;
  • Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and resource development;
  • Experience in managing grants, funding, and accountability;
  • Experience in skills development, employee retention, change management, and implementing best attraction practices;
  • Experience in process development, project management, and continuous improvement of administrative practices;
  • Experience in strategic planning, defining directions, objectives, and planning operations, according to the orientations defined by strategic planning;
  • Experience in identifying and executing service or program development initiatives;
  • Experience in management within a nonprofit structure or an environment related to social economy;
  • Experience in governance and relations with a Board of Directors (follow-ups, dashboards, reporting, etc.), an asset.
