This non-profit, public service media organization plays a central role in distributing French-language content in Quebec and across Canada.

Through its affiliated digital subsidiary, it is also actively engaged in promoting Canadian content on international platforms. Primarily funded through cable distribution fees set by regulatory bodies, the organization diversifies its revenues through public grants and private partnerships. It strives to address digital challenges and audience expectations while remaining true to its mission of promoting access to culture and information in French.

The role

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for marketing content, channels, and platforms, as well as enhancing brand visibility.

Leading the marketing, communications, and creative teams, this individual ensures the planning, direction, and performance of initiatives aimed at maximizing audience attraction and retention across all platforms, while strengthening brand awareness.

This strategic role requires a multi-platform vision for content deployment, with a strong focus on performance, profitability, and efficiency. The Senior Director also plays a key role in promoting the organization’s unique mission to the public and stakeholders.

Upon taking office, the successful candidate will lead a major rebranding initiative.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration, or another relevant field;

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant marketing management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, specifically within media, television, and/or online content commercialization;

  • Proven track record in leading major transformation initiatives to modernize a business model;

  • Demonstrated success in managing a business line, customer lifecycle (B2B2C and/or B2C), and launching products/brands;

  • Strong knowledge of the digital ecosystem, including websites, SEO, SEM, and social media;

  • Deep understanding of media and digital challenges;

  • Mastery of digital performance measurement tools;

  • Skills in developing communications, advertising, and partnership strategies;

  • Experience in budget management, project management, and leading high-performing teams.
