The role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director acts as the guardian of Juripop’s mission, as its spokesperson, and as the strategic leader of the organization. They are responsible for deploying Juripop’s strategic plan, overseeing its funding and visibility, and mobilizing a team of about forty people.
The right fit
- A university degree in law or administration/management (with relevant legal training or experience), and/or a license to practice law in Québec;
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in an executive or strategic management role within a nonprofit, public or parapublic organization, or a private company involving the coordination of multiple stakeholders;
- Proven experience in team management;
- Experience building and maintaining relationships and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., private partners, government bodies, volunteers, etc.);
- Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and resource development;
- Demonstrated experience in securing and developing funding (philanthropy, fundraising, donors, grants, etc.);
- Experience in governance and working with a Board of Directors (follow-ups, dashboards, reporting, etc.);
- Experience in public relations (public speaking, media relations, government relations);
- Awareness of current legal issues and contexts, and up-to-date knowledge regarding access-to-justice challenges in Québec;
- Experience and an active network within the legal and business communities.
