The role

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources develops and implements the department’s strategy and action plan. Working closely with a specialized team, the role defines the orientations, practices, and policies applicable to all employees and ensures they are kept up to date.

In collaboration with leadership and operations (plant, kitchen, retail stores, and farm), the Director ensures healthy labour relations, manages recruitment processes both locally and internationally, develops the employer brand, delivers a competitive and attractive total compensation program, oversees payroll management and employee benefits, and manages absence files (occupational health and safety and illness), all while preserving the company’s family culture and values.

The right fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or another relevant field
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in human resources management, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Member of the CRHA or CRIA professional order (or demonstrating a strong interest in becoming one)
  • Proven expertise in labour relations and compliance, including unionized environments, collective bargaining, and collective agreement administration
  • Demonstrated experience in HR business partnership, project management, and organizational change support
  • Recognized strengths in talent attraction, engagement, and development, including employee experience and succession planning
  • Experience in occupational health and safety, including the development and implementation of an OHS strategic plan and CNESST file management
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience in the food processing industry considered an asset
