The company
Founded in 1985, the Réseau Enfants-Retour is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist parents whose children have gone missing and to contribute, through public education, to reducing the number of missing children.
The organization’s objectives are as follows:
- To support and advise families whose child has been the victim of criminal or parental abduction, or whose child has run away;
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, government authorities, and the media to find missing children and bring them home safely;
- Help prevent disappearances, assaults, and exploitation of children;
- Raise awareness and educate various audiences about personal safety and the prevention of child disappearances;
The role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the the person in the role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing fundraising strategies and donor relations in line with the organization’s philanthropic guidelines. This person will actively contribute to increasing revenue and supporting the organization’s growth.
The right fit
- Undergraduate degree in a field related to the mandate (certificate in philanthropic management an asset);
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
- Proven experience in philanthropic development and fundraising;
- Experience soliciting potential donors;
- Experience in writing grant applications, government-funding experience is an asset;
- Experience in reporting;
- Experience in writing impact reports and donor recognition tools;
- Experience in developing commercial partnerships;
- Experience in managing projects with fixed deadlines;
- Demonstrated skills in using a CRM or equivalent;
- Knowledge of the academic world and the ecosystem for the prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles (an asset).
