Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
The Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (the Order) ensures public protection through oversight of professional practice and the advancement of the licensed practical nursing profession, thereby contributing to the quality of care and the health of the population. Only individuals who are members of the Order, having met admission requirements, are entitled to use the title of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The Order represents more than 32,000 licensed practical nurses practicing in Quebec.
The Director of Shared Services oversees the integrated management of the Order’s support functions: Human Resources, Information Technology, and Finance. Acting as the representative for these areas with the executive committee and governance bodies, the Director ensures coherence, alignment, and quality in the delivery of services, working in collaboration with the subject matter experts responsible for each function.
They position shared services as both a strategic partner and an enabler for the leadership team by promoting organizational efficiency, process simplification, and the adoption of modern practices aligned with the Order’s mission.
Finally, the Director leads and supports a multidisciplinary team covering HR, finance-accounting, IT, and data/statistics, ensuring effective priority management, workload distribution, and skills development, while maintaining accountability and alignment of actions with the Order’s strategic directions.
