The role
Reporting directly to Jonathan Cohen, Director of Creation, the Design Manager will play a crucial role in managing and directing a team of graphic designers to deliver high-quality creative projects.
Working closely with the director of creation and other stakeholders, you will ensure that artistic production aligns with guidelines, objectives, and the vision of the brand. In this role, you will need to strike a perfect balance between creative expertise, leadership skills, and project management capabilities.
The right fit
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or in a similar role in an agency or client-side, a strong asset on a retail and/or fashion brand;
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative concepts (branding, web design, banners, social media, print);
- Proven achievements in developing a strong brand and elevating creative product;
- Proven achievements in designing pieces that showcase distinct brand products and generate product sales impact;
- Previous experience in a role managing a high-performing and efficient team;
- Proficiency in graphic design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign);
- Knowledge and/or interest in fashion brands, a strong asset. Experience in UI/UX design and with video editing software, an asset.
