Founded in 1949, it has evolved into a unifying force representing all sectors of the screen-based industries, with an active Quebec chapter since 1986. The Academy notably administers the G\u00e9meaux Awards, which celebrate excellence in French-language television production, as well as the Canadian Screen Awards, recognizing excellence at the national level. It plays a key role in showcasing talent and innovation while adapting to the ongoing transformation of the audiovisual industry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","the_role":"<p>Reporting to the Chair of the Academy\u2019s Board of Directors, the Executive Director works closely with the Quebec Board of Directors to define strategic priorities and ensure the sound management of the organization\u2019s Quebec chapter. The Executive Director oversees development, funding, staff, budgets, committee formation, and relationships with key industry stakeholders in Quebec and with the national Academy.<\/p>\n<p>The role also encompasses the management of the G\u00e9meaux Awards and the Canadian Screen Awards in Quebec, including strategic planning, fundraising, event management, communications, and media relations.
