It brings together the necessary resources \u2014 land, essential investments, and innovation \u2014 to build more affordable housing, faster, in the communities where Canadians need it most.<\/p>\n<p>Its mission is to increase the housing supply by leveraging public lands, flexible financing solutions, and real estate development expertise to deliver more affordable, non-market, and private-market housing where the need is greatest.<\/p>\n","the_role":"<p class=\"p1\">The Director, Public Affairs and Corporate Relations plays a central role in advancing Build Canada Homes\u2019 visibility, influence, and strategic positioning with federal decision-makers, parliamentarians, and stakeholders across Canada\u2019s housing ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Responsible for institutional relations and organizational reputation, the Director leads relationships with the federal government, Parliament, and key stakeholders in the housing sector, while overseeing the organization\u2019s accountability requirements and parliamentary affairs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Through leadership of both external and internal engagement strategies, the Director helps advance Build Canada Homes\u2019 mandate, strengthen its influence, and engage employees and partners around its strategic priorities.<\/p>\n","essential_criteria":"<ul>\n<li>Postsecondary degree in public affairs, public administration, political science, communications, public policy, government relations, management, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>10 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience in public affairs, government relations, stakeholder engagement, public policy, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading public affairs programs, stakeholder engagement initiatives, government relations activities, advocacy efforts, or public communications functions of comparable complexity, including experience leading teams, mentoring staff, and overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing stakeholder engagement strategies, government relations plans, briefing materials, policy analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, budgets, service providers, and stakeholder relationships within a complex organizational environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing direct reports in a leadership role.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced bilingual proficiency in French and English, with superior command of both official languages.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of government, legislative, regulatory, and public policy development processes in Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of issues management, advocacy practices, stakeholder engagement methods, and public affairs best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the housing sector is considered an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, communication, relationship management, negotiation, and reporting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","team_member":[{"ID":1033,"post_author":"7","post_date":"2025-02-11 08:04:15","post_date_gmt":"2025-02-11 13:04:15","post_content":"<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Co-President and Principal Partner of La T\u00eate Chercheuse since 2019, Annie embodies a bold entrepreneurial spirit, where strategic vision meets a human-centered and engaged approach.
