To fulfill this mission, it acts as an honorary tribunal by reviewing complaints deemed to be in the public interest in Quebec, while also serving as a leader in journalistic ethics for journalists and news media organizations.<\/p>\n","the_role":"<p>Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Secretary General is responsible for the day-to-day management of the CPQ\u2019s human, material, and financial resources. The successful candidate will ensure the organization maintains a high level of credibility with media organizations, journalists, and government stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The individual will play a key role as the primary advisor to the Chair and the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n","essential_criteria":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism or a related discipline;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Minimum of 10 years of experience in the media industry, or a strong understanding of the Quebec media ecosystem and the challenges it faces;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Between 5 and 10 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Strong material and financial management skills;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Solid understanding of the principles and standards of journalistic ethics, along with a demonstrated appreciation for their importance through professional experience or prior involvement;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Experience in an advisory and governance role, including presenting opinions, recommendations, or interpretations to various internal and external stakeholders;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Experience acting as an organizational spokesperson or participating in media interviews or public discussion panels;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Experience working with a Board of Directors;<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Bilingualism required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","team_member":[{"ID":1118,"post_author":"7","post_date":"2025-02-12 04:20:52","post_date_gmt":"2025-02-12 09:20:52","post_content":"<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Originally from France, Elsa Vecchi began her career as a journalist and TV presenter in Paris. Later, she presented a fashion and beauty show on France 5.<br><br>She continued her career in Quebec as editor-in-chief and journalist, notably at HuffPost Qu\u00e9bec. What drives her above all are the encounters with those men and women who work behind the scenes and positively contribute to society.<br><br>With a natural curiosity and a desire to make a difference, it was only natural for Elsa to become interested in the field of human resources.
