The role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Communications, the Senior External Communications Advisor plays a central role in developing, implementing, and executing various external communications strategies to enhance the company’s visibility and position it as the global leader in integrated security services.

The person in this role must have combined experience in public relations and media relations, as well as a solid understanding of corporate communications supporting corporate objectives. They must also have a proven track record in developing and executing successful external communication campaigns, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and possess exceptional communication abilities.

The right fit

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, political science, or any other relevant field;
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate communications management (strategic planning), particularly in an international context (B2B) with high cultural and political sensitivities;
  • Experience in proactive and reactive external communication (public affairs, government relations, strategic positioning, media relations, mergers and acquisitions, etc.);
  • Experience in crisis communication and managing delicate and high-pressure issues;
  • Achievements as a spokesperson and/or strategic advisor in crisis management and high-frequency reputational issues contexts;
  • Proven achievements in creating communication programs and developing various distribution channels in an evolving/transformational context;
  • Strong skills in managing and creating high-performing teams;
  • Knowledge of digital communication platforms and multimedia content approaches;
  • Strong project management, budget management, and external partner management skills.
