La Cantine pour tous is a food security charity that brings together member organizations and collective businesses wishing to develop their food services to better meet the needs of their clientele. In addition to capacity building for member organizations, La Cantine pour tous focuses on coordinating collective efforts: by representing the interests of its members, La Cantine pour tous is the reference network for sustainable food security issues.

The role

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, the incumbent acts as a resource person for the financial activities of La Cantine pour tous, including involvement in the production of the annual financial report.

Drawing on best practices, the incumbent contributes to the implementation of actions aimed at optimizing financial processes, deploying new tools to ensure smooth execution of activities in compliance with policies and regulatory standards. They assume budgetary management and financial integrity of the organization in accordance with recognized accounting principles.

The right fit

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, or accounting;
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in administration, financial management, or accounting in a fast-paced environment;
  • Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and resource development;
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and production of various reports (monthly financial reports, quarterly financial statements, and Key Performance Indicators);
  • Solid experience in driving growth through financial planning and sound decision-making;
  • Experience in cash management and banking investments;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is an asset;
  • Experience within a nonprofit organization is a strong advantage.
