The IT Director will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of global information technology operations. Reporting to the VP of Finance and IT, this individual will ensure that IT effectively supports the company’s goals by overseeing architecture, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and technical support.
This strategic leadership role includes managing the IT team, planning and optimizing systems, and aligning technology initiatives with the company’s business priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (Master’s degree considered an asset)
At least 15 years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role (experience in a unionized environment is an asset)
Proven experience in hiring, developing, and managing unionized IT teams and in overseeing budgets
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity program management, including team oversight and implementation of best-practice-compliant solutions
Strong understanding of emerging trends in cybersecurity
Proven track record in strategic IT planning and leading large-scale technological transformations, aligning business objectives with IT priorities in complex, fast-evolving environments
Demonstrated experience in IT governance, including the development of frameworks, policies, and performance indicators aligned with corporate objectives
Experience in change management (including ERP system transitions) and assessing architecture for new enterprise-wide technologies
Solid experience with regulatory compliance, such as SOX, ITAR, CGP, EAR, DFARS, or CMMC (NIST SP800-171A)
