The role

This position reports to the General Management of Audio & Radio. It oversees the digital strategy for the sector, both in terms of original content production and the RC OHdio platform. It is responsible for programming planning for podcasts and audiobooks, acquiring new audiences, transitioning traditional listeners to digital, and fostering listener loyalty. The role also involves setting the strategic priorities for the RC OHdio platform to achieve Radio-Canada’s objectives.

The right fit
  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, business, etc.);
  • 10+ years of experience in a management role;
  • 8+ years of experience in content production within the audiovisual industry;
  • 5+ years of experience in digital creation, user experience, or an equivalent field;
  • Experience in financial and budget management;
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (administrative, operational, production, etc.);
  • Experience managing collective agreements and/or unionized resources;
  • Knowledge of media trends, shifts in media consumption, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey organizational goals and values, motivate, mobilize, and lead teams;
  • Significant experience in strategic planning, building strategic partnerships, and negotiating agreements;
  • Knowledge of governance and regulatory frameworks relating to rights management in the digital audio industry is considered an asset.
