The company

Réseau Presse is the national association of French-language minority newspapers in Canada. It brings together more than 20 member newspapers from coast to coast, united by a common mission to support the vitality of Francophone communities through local, independent, and high-quality news.
The organization acts as a spokesperson for the sector, provides political and public representation for its members, and offers development and support services to member newspapers.

The role

Under the authority of the Board of Directors, the general direction provides strategic leadership, lobbying, and national representation for the Network. It is responsible for the operational and financial management of the organization, the development of partnerships, and strengthening the sustainability of the network and its members.

The right fit

University degree in communications, administration, public affairs, or another relevant field;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing non-profit organizations and/or in a management role involving multiple stakeholders, ideally in a national, media, or community context;
Experience in team management;
Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and resource development;
Previous experience in maintaining and developing funding (sponsorships, fundraising, accountability, grants, etc.);
Experience in governance and relations with a board of directors (follow-ups, dashboards, reports, etc.);
Experience in public relations (public speaking, lobbying, media relations, government relations);
Experience in a similar position in the media, information, and/or communications sector is an asset;
Understanding of journalistic ethics is an asset.
